I realize from reading posts that most brides go through dress regret and I have definitely come down with a case of dress regret!
My fiance and I have had a long engagement, so after we got engaged I got excited to start planning and dress shopping. I found a dress that I loved back in September. It is Josie by Maggie Sottero. I have started having some thoughts of regret about 5 months ago and it hasn’t gone away. I called the salon to see if I could go in and try in on again and I found out that the dress has been discontinued so I can’t try it on until it comes in! I am worried! Oringinally, I thought I wanted a simple, timeless and classic A-line dress, which is what I got, but now I feel like I would like a little more, like a fit-n-flare.
Here is a picture of me in my gown. Please give me some insight!

Your dress is beautiful! Dress regret is very common, so I wouldn’t worry about it (it’s normal!) It’s hard to pick ONE dress for ONE day, and know that that dress is supposed to be THE dress. Too much pressure! But honestly, you look beautiful in it and I think classic, timeless beauty is the best. You will be able to look back on your wedding photos years from now and not laugh, and say “wtf is with that poof?” or “what hideous frills!” or “yuck- look at that gaudy beading!” Your dress is PERFECT! 🙂 It’s will showcase YOU, and that’s beautiful!

This dress is perfect and definitely very beautiful on you ! I would advise you to change the veil, may be? It is less painful 🙂 I am thinking about a long veil with a wide satin riband along the edge.

I love your dress! I can see what you are saying about more flare. I think it would look gorgeous with some beading or appliqués or something on the neckline and maybe the hip or side area!

Also, maybe some pick-ups in the dress part and wear something under the dress if you want to give it more poof. Just some thoughts!

Your dress is indeed beautiful, classic, and timeless, and it also is extremely figure-flattering. I don’t think that you need a fit-and-flare to showcase it. 🙂

You look amazing! Before reading your post, I thought this was a picture of an actual bride on her wedding day. I hope you keep this one because you look stunning!

Your dress actually has a kind of a fit and flare to it, given that the ruching and tight fit over the waist and hips make it look like it has a drop waist. It’s like it’s the perfect combination between a slimming a-line and a figure-flaunting fit and flare.
I just like the way it looks on you. To me, it’s like you’re wearing the dress, not the other way around. Sometime more dramatic dresses detract from the natural beauty of the bride (and yiu are just gorgeous).
Get the right veil and accessories and you’ll be onto a winner!
