I would wear it for the ceremony, and get a shorter cocktail dress for the party. You could prolly find one for 99-150 dollars if you looked around. Your dress is really beautiful.

I rather be cold than hot!  I am very cranky and whiny when I get hot, I freeze my poor fiance in our house because I keep the temp at 69-70 haha

I agree that maybe wearing that just for the ceremony and then changing into a nice airy dress that is more comfortable and wont overheat you while you party like a rockstar at your reception 🙂

@DRESSHELPNEEDED:  It’s a beautiful dress! I third (or fourth) the idea of having a lighter reception dress. That way you will have photos in that fabulous dress from the ceremony and you can party the night away in a short reception dress. If it ends up being a cool enough evening you might not need to change, but will have the option.

@DRESSHELPNEEDED:  You could try a hoop skirt. It will give the dress a lot more volume, but will also keep the dress off of your legs, which might be slightly cooler.

well.. are you getting married outside or inside?    if you are getting married outside but then the party is inside the AC will be on….

I have a satin dress with about 3 layers of that kyrnolin (sp?) stuff under it.. but i am the first day of July so hopefully its not too hot
