Check out craigslist and ebay.  A lot of times there are items for sale on those sites that are harder to find elsewhere.  Also, places like Michael’s, Joann Fabrics, etc. will be able to get a specific product in a specific color, for the DIY stuff (like paper, ribbon, etc).

For my wedding, my main color was sage green and it was really difficult finding the exact shade of green that I wanted.  Some places called it fern, some leaf… blah.  I know that it can be VERY frustrating!  I decided to use products that were in a range of greens that all complimented each other.  So, in the end, nothing was exactly the same shade, but it was close enough that no one noticed and/or it complimented each other and it saved me a lot of stress!!

I pretty much had the same colors.  I didn’t do a ton of decor–my centerpieces were pumpkins and ivy with votives.  I didn’t get colored napkins because they were purple, not eggplant.  The only place I could find the right color paper stock was http://www.cutcardstock.com/.  I used the Basis Dark Purple.  Ribbon was easily available at Michaels.
