I think a white dress would be pretty, but I would maybe reconsider having him in white as well. I’m not a huge fan of couples looking super matchy-matchy in photos.

For our e-session, we were outside and everything was VERY green. I wore a navy and white patterned dress with a white cardigan. Fiance wore jeans and an olive green shirt, with a white undershirt to tie everything together.

just make sure your photographer is good a white balancing or you might have issues with blown photos. That’s the only thing *I* consider when thinking about outdoor, high noon photography. 🙂

Would it be possible to bring a couple of outfit changes?  I know if my Darling Husband and I were at a landscaping nursery, taking pictures in the flowers and trees, and wearing all white, at least one of us would get their clothes stained well before the photo session was done.  So I’d at least bring one set of matching outfits that isn’t white!

That said, I don’t think you have to both wear just white in order to stand out.  Your location sounds lovely, and as long as you guys complement eachother’s looks and complement the colors in the nursery, you don’t have to wear all white at all.  Maybe a pretty, brightly-colored dress for you and a somewhat matching button-down and khakis for him?

Here is the only soft copy I have so it doesn’t give a great idea but I wore aqua, with light blue jeans and hubby wore white with light blue jeans and we were in a park with trees and flowers all around

@TheJeanses2012: Thanks! Actually, my natural hair color is kind of a mousy brown. I keep it dyed constantly, some shade of brown or auburn and I had no idea it was that red until we got the photos back! I plan on doing a darker brown for the wedding. 🙂

We did our e-photos in this garden/park type thing so we had a lot of flowers and greenery, too. My photographer told us to avoid white and green if we could. I think your white dress would look nice but maybe do a practice photo outside to make sure it isn’t see-through on camera!! For ours, I wore a bright blue dress for one outfit and a bright pink top with dark wash jeans for the other. Fiance wore light blue and then a striped light blue/white top. I think those colors worked for us. Going for really bright solids is usually recommended. I know photographers tend to shy away from white too since it doesn’t always photograph well, but I say wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and confident!!

I would avoid white, it’s difficult for most photographers to get it exposed properly and it’s often blown out white with loss of detail.  Also, your E pics are supposed to be a nice balance of both of you, with the focus going toward your faces or the environmental aspects.  In photographs, the eye goes to the lightest tone which will be your shirt, not really the focus you want.

I also wouldn’t do the matching outfits or matching shirts thing, it’s a dated look, from the 90’s.

We got some e-pictures with some brightly colored tulips (purple and red).  I wore a cream-colored dress with gold details and Fiance wore gray pants and a mint green dress shirt.  It was rainy and my only umbrella just happened to match everything!

@TheJeanses2012:  Thank you so much!  It was NOT supposed to rain that day but we had the e-session date set in stone.  It didn’t rain too hard luckily but I thought the pictures still turned out great despite the rain…so I was happy!  My photographer Leslie Gilbert is AMAZING though so she really deserves all the credit! =)
