Option #1!!!!
Option #1!!!!
Neither option is great, unless you know she likes exactly that style.
I’ll echo the suggestions of a simple solitare or that gorgeous James Allen halo another bee posted. You could even do a halo with a plain shank so you still have something modern and sparkly, but a bit simpler.
I agree, those options are pretty but not great. Top option is a no-go as it is not as classy as the bottom in my opinion (for what it’s worth). I’d recommend either a bezel set or classic. Either way, the stone is the most important. I’ve put a mined diamond down as that is most common but I’d personally recommend a lab diamond or a moissy. Not sure what her style is though. Hope this helps! Congrats!

Well prior post was a fail on the photos LOL. Here’s what I was trying to post. I’d recommend bezel to someone who doesn’t wear a ton of jewlery (bottom two photos) because it will be easier on daily wear. It also adds some size to a dainty diamond and can give it some unique flair.
I agree with PP.. unless you know her exact taste, then I’d maybe keep looking at other options. The cluster ring and the partial bezel are very specific. And as others mentioned, with the tension (#2), there are difficulties in re-sizing.
