Okay, I just bought beautiful blue wine glasses and I want to get them engraved with our names and date. However, I’d like to put a nice saying or “Thank you” on them as well. What do you think? Any cute sayings, nothing cheezy. Any love quotes or sayings that are short? Love to hear your ideas ladies!!

Are you set on having them engraved? I would never really want to use a glass with someone else’s name and wedding date on it (or a thank you). In fact, I’ve received them as favors before and always donate them to goodwill.
Not trying to be rude, just trying to be honest so you don’t waste your money. Now a gorgeous blue wine glass, on the other hand, I would probably love.

You could always write the message on a little tag or ribbon to tie onto the glass stem.

My friend had them for her wedding and people still tell her they love them and use them….but I really like your idea…that’s actually cute and I wouldn’t be limited on the wording?

it would be more practical to just add a tag with a sweet heart-felt thank you note with the glasses. Half the guests will like the engaraving and maybe half of them won’t. I’m sure the half who will like the engraving will like the tags with the thank you note too.
Save yourself the extra expense and put it towards a spa treat at your honeymoon (^_~)

Are you planning that your guests will use these glasses at the wedding? or only take them home as favors?
If they are using them during the reception, I would find a cute tag and label then with the guest’s’name on one side an your initials and “Thank-you” on the other. This way the wine glasses are identified also.

I’m with the pp. I would not keep a wine glass engraved with anyone’s wedding date.

I would personally skip the engraving unless it is just the recipient’s name with no date or message on them. No one wants something with your name/date sticking around their house forever…sorry. I am doing engraved pint glasses (more beer/liquor drinkers than wine) for myself, Fiance, Maid/Matron of Honor, and best man. Ours will say Mr. B & Mrs.B and our bridal party will just have their names.
