Okay… so I told myself I would never ever be a Bridesmaid or Best Man or Maid/Matron of Honor for anyone except my family. I just didn’t want to deal with that drama. Well, one of my close friends got engaged to her SO of 8 years over the holidays and they decided to elope! Or I guess, technically have a “fairy wedding” in the woods. It will be her, her Fiance, me (her MOH), her FI’s brother (the best man), Darling Husband, Best Man’s wife, and their parents. Best Man’s wife is going to preform the ceremony (she’s ordained), so it is going to be SUPER small. However, my friend told me to find ANY fairy type dress (just not costumey) in preferably natural/neutral colors.
I am actually not sure what a fairy would wear. I’m seriously stuck on Tinkerbelle… so any help would be appreciated! Plus, I need this in 2 weeks! Not sure if it can be done! Thanks in advance for any help!

Oh dear, 2 weeks isn’t a lot of time unless you were to find a dress that fits you perfectly.
Fairy? Think tulle; lots of tulle for the skirt.
You could try ForHerAndForHim.com and tell them it’s a rush order:

Or you could try Modcloth; search either for “fairy” or “tulle”:

@LynnSnow: On the ModCloth link, there are only two dresses left… Would that be out of your budget?
This might be a budget-friendlier option:
Just get a tulle skirt with lots of layers of tulle; wear a top that you already own!

ETA: This was found on etsy.com

@Cynderbug: Thanks I really like that first one. And yeah, 2 weeks is not a lot of time. I’ll probably have to do some pinning as stand in alterations for whichever dress I get. I’ll be looking for tulle. Thanks!
And… Yeah, almost $300 is a lot for this type of thing, sadly. I really love the poofy skirt too (I would run it by my friend first though, just in case) and I could probably find a top from a thrift store to match a skirt like that. Thanks!

Or get a wrap dress and add a crinoline underneath:
Robin’s Egg Beach Cottage Blue-Octopus Convertible Wrap Short Dress- Bridesmaids

The possibilities are actually quite endless — but make sure you run by your engaged friend before you order 🙂 Good luck!

@Cynderbug: Ooh thanks! I love the idea of a wrap dress with crinoline! I’m going through Etsy right now. I plan on sending pictures of the top 3 I find (if I find that many) and asking her opinion. I want to make sure I fit her vision.

I love Unique Vintage! I looked at UV for possible dresses for my flower girls and Maid/Matron of Honor.
I would probably get a crinoline from Unique Vintage though — especially if there’s a colour OP likes.
Here are some I found from UV, all under $150 USD:
$134 USD
