I have been searching for weeks for the perfect wedding dress, but nothing can match this Pnina Tornai dress:
I found a website called made-in-china.com that can replicate the dress, but I’m not sure if I should try them. The link can be found here: http://xinyuyuan.en.made-in-china.com/product/rbCnEozdCuce/China-Wedding-Dress-HS-1140-.html. What makes me anxious is that the photo of the back of the dress doesn’t match the front…LOL.
So, my questions are:
1) Should I bite the bullet and use made-in-china.com?
2) Do you have any dressmakers that you can recommend that can make high-quality replicas I can send this photo to?
Thank you for all of your help and support in advance!

Hi! I’m so glad I found this thread!
I am after the same dress, in any way, shape, or form! But all I have is a picture. Do you know the year and model number of this dress? It would help me immensely.
I came across the picture on a Chinese site too, while doing an image search. It was love at first site. The owner of the company (Tony from Paris Bridal Co, Ltd) said $270 for the dress and seemed very committed to quality. He sent me about 2 dozen pictures of their other dress work, which looked quite impressive. But yes, there is a LOT that could go wrong on this dress (the flowers, lace and glitter work, etc), , so I am hesitant. In the same breath, $300 isn’t a big a gamble for the dress of your dreams! I am planning a two-dress wedding (a short dress for the party) so if no one is inspecting my gown up close, I might be able to pull off less than perfect quality and still have great pictures and feel gorgeous. You might consider the same.
Can’t wait to hear from you!!

It’s my day to play private detective! I found an American-based company who makes designer dresses, including this one:
The one we want is half-way down on the right, but it’s shown in all white, so it’s harder to recognize. However, the flowers are plentiful and nicely done, unlike other knock-offs I’ve seen! Search the page for “Lucy.”

They’ve updated the site, it’s now just listed as Pnina Tornai 1493. I’ve been in contact with the woman who runs the place, SO helpful and from the reviews on weddingwire (they’ve won awards) they seem to do great work.

Wow… thank you SO much! I jumped the gun and bought myself a Reem Acra gown, although this one will always hold a special place in my heart.

@andidance3: I am so curious if you went ahead and ordered the dress… and how it turned out… if you did, can you please tell us what you thought, maybe include photos? I am also looking for a replica of that dress! But it’s hard to find one that looks as nice as one might want…

@hazydaisy97: I found a site that makes that dress and it seems pretty nice. I am also considering it but there are so many others from that site I also like, that it is difficult to decide. The only problems I’ve seen people have are that their dress didn’t get there in the predicted time. So if you order early it could be great http://www.dreamprom.com/elegant-elastic-woven-satin-oneshoulder-ball-gown-royal-wedding-dress-p-300210719.html
fyi the same website makes a replica of the dress taylor swift wore in love story which is also quite pretty. http://www.dreamprom.com/gorgeous-aline-offtheshoulder-floorlength-chapel-wedding-dress-inspired-by-taylor-swift-in-the-love-story-p-301798660.html
