@DivineGoddess:  have you tried nursing homes/night shift/things other people don’t really want to do?  I’m not too sure what to suggest b/c many places in my area don’t hire LPN’s much anymore.  i think sometimes clinics do, though

@DivineGoddess:  Be careful about nursing homes, night shifts etc . As a new grad you do not want to be in a position where you are working alone. You my have the academic credentials, but you would still benefit from having someone else on shift that you can consult.

I live in Canada, so I don’t know the job market where you live.

@DivineGoddess:  I would do nursing home overnights–they always need people, and you should get plenty of hours!

Unfortunately, Tennessee doesn’t hire LPNs very often, so I’m afraid I can’t be much help. I went straight for the RN so I could have more autonomy and was hired directly out of school.
