What types of fabrics and dress styles do you like best? I may be able to find some possibilities.

I think that full lave gowns look really nice for rustic themes, since lace has a vintage feel. I’ve also seen people wear cowboy boots (which I think works really well!). You can look through some website to see photos of weddings and look at the rustic ones to see what brides wear. Most dress should work though! Accessories would help it.

You may want to check out the site below. I just recently stumbled upon it. I have since fallen in love with the dresses under the “vintage” category. I must say, however, that I’ve never purchased anything through this site. The gowns are very reasonably priced though. Best of luck!

You should check out Alfred Angelo 7092. Sorry, I’m on my phone and it won’t let me save a picture, but it’s a floor-length chiffon gown that comes in white and ivory (it’s a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress), and it has straps and a loose, flowy bow at the bust line. It doesn’t sound that great, but if you go to the site and preview it in white, I promise it’s very rustic and pretty!

I think something flowy and chiffon would be perfect for you. I tried on some really pretty chiffon dresses from J. Crew (the Sophia, Taryn, and Arabelle) that you might like. They are about $400 on their site, but you can get each of these styles on ebay for about $200.

Check Nataya dresses. They’re sold on this website: http://www.vintagestyleclothing.com/catalog.html (as well as a few other sites). Many are within the $100+ range.

Also, I posted a ton of dresses under $150 in this thread earlier. Keep scrolling down as I posted links in three posts.

Good luck!

One of my favorite Bees, Mrs. Cowboy Boot, had a rustic wedding and I’m completely in love with her dress.  I think her wedding was a great example of having a more modern dress work wonderfully in a rustic setting.  She had a million gorgeous photos posted, but here’s the link to one about the dress: http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/01/05/love-at-the-ranch-too-soon/

@panterapeach: No problem, glad to help!  Her wedding was the first I remember seeing start to finish on the Bee, so I remember it pretty well.
