Hi ladies! I was going to rent black lanterns from a company, but my florist offered to buy some and let me rent them from her. She sent me a couple of styles that she had found, but I wasn’t loving any of them. Any suggestions of black lanterns that will go on wood slices with moss? Pottery Barn always has nice lanterns, but they are too expensive!
I’m thinking something similar to this style. Not the Morroccan type lantern!

Try this site – they have lots of lantern options and I find the prices very reasonable:

Thanks ladies! I found one that I liked on the Dorothy website, but might try and look for them somewhere cheaper. I’ve seen the same one on other sites, i think. They must get them from the same manufacturer.

They have those here, or very similar ones that are cheaper here. Hope that helps! 🙂

Ikea-$14 for the large ones, $7 for the smaller ones.
And they have them in silver if you want to mix it up! 😀

I was just about to post the IKEA pictures too! I am also using black lanterns and got mine at IKEA. It saved me a ton of money!

I am using lanterns for my centerpieces as well, we got them from Pier One (some we had to spray paint) and from Old Time Pottery – also would be willing to sell them after our March 26th wedding if you are interested

Yup I got the same laterns from Ikea – they are really great and easy to put together. We used them in the windows of our venue and they looked beautiful.

Ah sorry they are so massive!!! And woops just realized everyone gave the same answer haha. I have the little one on the bottom in white in my apartment, and I LOVE it. So so cute.

OOH! I like the Ikea ones a lot. I am doing kind of a nature-y theme with wood slices underneath and possible birds nest to hold table numbers. I also want to have the florist put some pink and red English rose and dahlia heads around the lanterns on the wood slice/moss. Do you guys think the lanterns would look okay with that theme? I know Ikea is very modern stuff and I am so NOT modern! ha!

I’m not sure if you have a hobby lobby near you, but I saw some like that there this weekend. They may be on sale? Hobby lobby has sales all the time so I’m sure you could get them inexpensivly.
