I am in love with mason jars!!! For my centerpieces, I want to have mason jars with something inside of them. I would love flowers, but I want to find something a little more affordable so I was thinking of small candles in the jars. I have found lots of pictures online that I love and I am thinking I want to have coffee beans in the jars with a candle on top of that. (Filled about half way with twine wrapped around the jars.) My problem is I need help finding coffee beans in bulk. Can you give me any suggestions? I have looked everywhere. The ones I find on ebay are all so pricey because they are good brand beans. I just want some cheap ones I can use for only this purpose….I won’t be brewing any coffee with them.:)

Costco? Bulk food store (not sure if you have Bulk Barn in the States or not…)? Sam’s Club?

Do you have a local coffee roaster you could ask for help? Maybe they could special order a lower quality bean, knowing that it is not going to be used to make coffee.
Other than that I would try Sam’s or Costco.

Yup, I have seen them in Costco.

Another way to save on cost if the beans turn out to be expensive would be to roll a piece of styrofoam in glue and cover it in beans, then drop that into the jar to pour the rest of the beans around it. Should reduce the amount of volume you have to fill with beans while keeping the jars looking like they’re only filled with coffee beans.

NDBEE-That’s a great idea!!! Never thought of that! THanks! I might have to give it a shot. I think Costco is still expensive just because it’s all good quality coffee, not for crafts but I will have to look into it for sure! Thanks.

Find a store that supplies restaraunts! Or if you know anyone that works in one. I do and the coffee is in like 10 pound bags! Or try bj’s or sam’s club!
