krystinebee :  Urgh I cant help with the name of the designer, just commenting to say god some bridal stores are the worst! Do not buy that dress without knowing what you’re getting! Why are they so intent on keeping it a secret anyway….makes me think it’s because they know their prices arent competitive.

I wish I could help! It’s a gorgeous dress and looks perfect on you!

Have you tried going to the boutique’s website to see if they list the designers they carry? If they do, you could go to the designers’ websites and try to find the dress that way.

Or, could you go back and try the dress on again and sneak a peek at the tag?

No clue, but that’s seriously bizarre. Can you go to the bridal store’s website and see which designers they carry and start your hunt. That is so lame!

I can only imagine it’s so you don’t purchase it online for cheaper, or they are gouging you. Either way!

Sorry, you look beautiful in that dress but it isn’t sooooo special that you cannot find it or something very similar somewhere else. How can they expect you to pay without knowing the designer?? They may be asking top dollar for a design by Archie Bunker from Queens. Just like I’ll pay more for “7 for all mankind” jeans than Old Navy jeans – not because they’re better fabric or anything else but because they’re 7, they cannot expect you to fork over cash without knowing all the particulars of what you’re buying. Don’t shop there. Too many other games in town.

Wait…. they won’t let you make an appointment to go back with your dad until you buy the dress? So you aren’t even allowed to look at it again until you buy it? Get your deposit back, if possible. They are insanely shady. Nothing sounds right about it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the dress is made by someone local and is NOT one of the designers listed on their website.

Is it Stella York? The detail on the top looks familiar.

It looks like a Sottero and Midgley. Their newer lines have a lot of the intricate and cross-hatch lace.

Can you get back your deposit? I’d get that back and leave a harsh Yelp review. I’ve never heard of a store running like that.

As someone else mentioned, it’s not unique you will find a similar dress.  It’s a strapless, lace, fit and flare which seems to be what everyone wears. You’ll find a hundred similar gowns.

krystinebee :  I can’t believe this. You have even paid a deposit. I’d be very wary. It could be a knock off and they may be charging full rates. I tried to do a google search for you, and didn’t find anything, but I’m certain the bees can help.

Did it come with that belt or is that one they added?
