Hi Bees –
I’m trying to find an inexpensive rose gold band to wear when I don’t feel like dealing with my wedding set. Don’t get me wrong, I love my set. It was my grandmothers and I had it soldered together when I got married. However, this winter, I’ve discovered that it’s getting caught in or pulling apart my sweaters, my pockets, my gloves, my blankets and pulling my hair when I run my hands through it! This is what it looks like:
I love rose gold. I have since I was a little girl and my (same) grandmother had a band she used to wear. My parents have it now, but I’m afraid to ask for it since I already have this ring from my grandmother and the band is displayed in their living room. So, I just want to buy a band, but I don’t want to spend more than $75 or $80 dollars on it. Preferably less, though.
I’ve been looking on etsy and I’ve found some that I liked, but I don’t understand all the terminology and I don’t always trust their explanations since, you know, they’re trying to sell me something. Of course they want to make it sound great.
They have an explanation at the bottom about filled. It fits my budget and I’m worried plating might wear off really fast (I’m fanatical about washing my hands) so filled seems like a nice compromise. Any bees with jewelry knowledge, please help 🙂 and any that are bargain hunters like me, I’m willing to check on anything!
