I am really having a hard time finding a dress that meets all my criteria. I know I am picky and probably asking for a lot in one dress but here is my criteria:
1. Lace
2. Sweetheart neckline
3. Lace and tulle on skirt
4. dropped waist
5. A-line or fit and flare
6. sparkly
7. silver/pewter accent on skirt
I have found a few with the first six criteria but having a hard time finding a dress with silver/pewter on skirt. I don’t really like dresses all one color.
Here are some of the dresses I am interested in but there is one or more things I find wrong with the dresses.
Maggie Sottero Isadora – Loved the skirt but didn’t like the pleated satin on bodice because I felt it made me look bigger than I am.

Blue Enzoani Dabra – No bling on this dress besides belt and would prefer scalloped lace at the edge of skirt.

Maggie Sottero Beatrice and Natasha and Blue Enzoani Brazil – I haven’t seen in person but don’t think there is any silver on the skirt.

Maggie Sottero Ruby – Skirt doesn’t have the same flowy feeling that the dresses above have.

If anyone knows of any dresses that fit my criteria please share. Thanks!!!

This one has a silver accent on a belt, not on the skirt but it does have lace/tulle

This one isn’t a-line but casablanca is VERY GOOD with changing aspects of their dresses… you can have this same dress made into an aline

Perhaps, you can have the lace halter removed from this one and then it would be perfect… it even comes in other colors than what is pictured so you can have the embroidery made silver

@calypso0712: I’ve called every bridal shop in the Dallas area and no one has the Casablanca 1930 🙁 One shop did tell me they can order a sample for $40 for me to try on and put that money towards any dress I buy there. I knew Casablanca was good at customizing but didn’t know they could do a silver embroider 🙂

@LizzieMo: The Cheyenne was on my list to try on but I am trying to decide whether I want lace going all the way down or not. Looks gorgeous on you!

@MrsRingor2011: I really like the last one from Eden you sent. So different from what I am seeing at the bridal shops.

I had a lot of the same criteria as you (I am also extremely picky and tried on close to a hundred dresses), and I definitely second the Casablanca suggestion above. In my opinion, the photos on their website do not do justice to the detail on their dresses. I’ve tried on quite a few, and the embroidery in person is exquisite, VERY sparkly, and you can often get it in a silver/pewter shade over white, ivory, or champagne. The one that I ordered has very noticeable silver embroidery in person, but on the photo it looks white! These are the sparkliest dresses I have tried on–and the embroidery is done on a net overlay that actually has some sheen and sparkle to it all on its own. I customized my neckline, backline, and length, for a very reasonable fee. Good luck!
