I’m looking to make a sash for my dress. I bought some ribbon from Dollar Tree that was the exact color I wanted, and made a sash. I’d use it, but it seems a little too narrow for me, and it’s only single-faced. (Good practice, though!) So I’m looking for 3-to-4 inch-wide double faced purple ribbon, and I can’t find it anywhere! Everything’s too blue, or too pink, or not wide enough!
(This pic looks a little blue for some reason. The pic below is closer to the real color.)
I want to say I’ve seen something similar at Michaels before, but I think it was also single faced. Btw, what would you call this color?

I think 3-4 inch ribbon may be too wide. It tends to flop when that wide, but definitely look at MJ Trim, Midori and Sopp ribbon. I used to work at a stationery store and sold all three. Etsy also has a lot of ribbon vendors.

@louisianablue: These are some of my inspirations pics.
Really love how this last one is folded in front. That’s very similar to what I did with my trial sash, except I made mine more V-shaped.

I would call that color Royal Purple. You are looking for double faced satin ribbon.
Here it’s called purple haze http://www.papermart.com/Product%20Pages/Product.aspx?GroupID=28964
Midori calls it Viola.

If you live near a Joann’s I would check there… I’ve had alot of success finding the color purple I wanted in their ribbon selection and it’s double faced with varying sizes available and the best part is you can use any coupon (they take competitors too) so it would only be around $2 🙂
other than that I agree with the previous posters.. Etsy has pretty much anything you could ever dream you would want..
