So I have my first dress fitting tomorrow morning, and I know for a fact that I’ve put on a bit of weight since I bought the dress, because I’ve been sick and unable to exercise AT ALL for the past three months. (I was hospitalized with a lung condition for several days and then on steroids and inhalers until recently).
Here’s my question – I’m already in the process of losing that weight because I’ve recovered, but I’m worried the dress might be a little too small tomorrow. If that’s the case, should I tell them not to alter it at all and schedule another fitting for when I’m back to my pre-sickness weight?
I don’t want them to let the dress out or anything when I know I will be much smaller in another month or so! I know future weight loss is never something you should count on but I feel like in this case it’s actually inevitable!
What should I do? I scheduled the first fitting tomorrow based on the timeline the seamstress gave me for how they usually alter wedding dresses, and I would like to see my dress with my veil and shoes so I don’t want to postpone it!
