Definitely wear heels! Its tacky to wear flats.

Be safe and go with flats.

Go with whats comfortable for you wether it be heels or flats.

I think you should wear flats if that is what you are comfortable with and would prefer! I’m wearing flats as well 🙂

I will definitely be wearing flats! I considered the compromise of heels during the ceremony and flats during the reception, but I really dont want my dress to be dragging the ground for the reception, so I’m sticking with flats all day 🙂

I’m not even sure I understand how flats could be considered tacky in any way! You don’t want to be miserable in heels all day (and that misery would show in your pictures too.) There are plenty of dressy flats that will fit the formality of your wedding and you have plenty of time to find the perfect pair!

I say go with what is comfortable. If that means flats then I would stick with that. It is going to be a long day and you want to be as comfortable as possible.

I have also chosen to wear flats

    1. More comfortable

    2. More height between my FH and myself

I am so late to this party but I never wear heels either and got a pair of 3/4 wedges (so pretty much flat). They looked great! I am so happy I had a comfy pair of shoes to spend the day in. =)

I’m going to have to wear a little heel, because my dress is tea length, and flats would make my legs look like they’re 2 inches long.  So I am starting my quest for heels 8 months in advance.  I never wear heels, so I’m hoping for something between 1.5-2.5 inches.

If my dress was floor length, I’d be definitely wearing flats though.

I PERSONALLY think flats are tacky for bride to wear with a formal wedding gown… I feel like flats are too casual for the occasion..

I’m just like you, I never ever wear heels.  So when i was looking for shoes I was thinking of doing flats too.  But then I came across some pretty low wedge heels with a peep toe.  Maybe you could try something like that?  Also just a thought, are you going to be outside at all?  For pictures or any other part of the wedding?  Heels are annoying outside cause they sink into the ground.  I’m actually having an outdoor ceremony, which is another reason i chose the wedge heels.  Good luck!

I have to wear flats because my fiance is my height ^^;; But if I could, I would wear heels. I think they make you walk nicer, give you better posture, and make your legs look super nice.

Maybe buy a pair (or borrow) of heels to just walk around in? Maybe practice and then see if you think you can stand it I’d say go for it! If not, there is nothing wrong with a pretty flat!

    Good luck!

Also, these are the flats I’ll be wearing. I plan on lacing in some tulle and tying it like a ballet slipper.

Especially since you never wear heels, I say go with the flats! You can find some adorable and really cute flats out there nowadays — that shouldn’t be an issue. If anything, you could do some sort of a flatter sandal, too.

I found my heels (which are pretty low ones) and months later found the same shoe but in the ballet flat version! I love them! I plan to wear the heels for the ceremony and photos, then whip them off and put on the flats for the rest of the night.

    How are ballet flats “Tacky”?!

Okay, yes, if you were talking about converse sneakers or something, I can see how they’d look odd in a formal wedding.

But, if you’re wearing a floor length gown, you won’t even see the shoes!

Flats aren’t tacky!  I love heels but didn’t want to be the same height as my fiance!.  So I wore these – and loved them.  I was comfortable – you really didn’t see them at all but the people that did loved them!
