Do any of you know if BN offers a warranty on diamond sales? Is that info on the site? SO and I were looking for it but neither of us could find it. Also did any of you get your setting from a jeweler but your diamond from BN? If so did you get a warranty from both places?
Any help is appreciated.

I have a Blue Nile ring. Here’s a note from their site:
Rest easy. We stand behind our products. All Blue Nile diamonds, engagement rings, and fine jewelry adhere to our high standards of quality. Blue Nile jewelry is backed by our lifetime warranty, which protects against all defects in manufacturing, design, and workmanship.

When I recieved my BN ring, it came with a package that included a full receipt with details, a common Blue Nile FAQ brochure (which talks about maintainng your ring and cleaning & warranty, a ring sizer (incase the ring doesnt fit, you can send it back and they will resize for free), a 2 copies of the appraisal so you are able to get it insureed ASAP! As long as you keep the order number and appraisal around for self reference you are able to send in your ring anytime to get serviced and fixed!

Thank you bees. SO and I just got off the blue Nile site about an hour ago and thanks to your help he has decided that BN is where it’s at. Woot woot! Lol can you tell I’m a little happy? With our budget all set up we have about 5 months until he buys my ring and I’m filled with excitement.

@bribar00: This is very useful. Does the “lifetime waranty” come with any caveats, such as having to send the ring in every 6 months for a check-up? I wish they laid out the details of the warranty on their website so that people could read the fine print before taking the plunge. It seems kind of fishy, but everyone raves about BN so I want to be a believer.
