We did a postcard…the front was a full picture with the words along the top:

    He stole her heart…

So she’s stealing his last name.

And then our date was in the lower left corner.  Back of postcard had the rest of the info.

Since you’ve been together so long, you could have fun with it:

Twelve years ago he stole her heart…

Now she’s finally stealing his last name!    8.24.13

The only one I think is cliched and overused is “he stole her heart…so she’s stealing his last name”. Everybody on earth seems to be using that for save the dates.

@RedAngelDreamer:  Agreed. That one is so overdone now. I do like the little “12 years” play on it though. That changes it up and makes it more personal and unique.

@MLDoddie:  I think everyone has seen it on Pinterest, because I’ve gotten 3 save the dates with it this year.

How about something like Woo Woo We’re saying I Do.  Or something about We’re tying the Knot.

What about “Truth or dare?  Truth: we’re getting married on DATE!  Dare: We dare you to save the date!” or something?

I really loved the ones with the string that tied into a knot as you opened it, but I guess my cousin used that, so now I feel like it would be lame to copy them!

But now I like what @ylojerseygirl suggested, the “FREE CAKE!” one!  That’s super cute!
