I have just recently designed my engagement ring from scratch, using 3 diamonds from my boyfriends grandmother (who has passed away). I was so so so inlove with my design & being so particular and OCD, once my boyfriend picked up the ring I asked to see it so I could make sure it was perfect.
I was left a bit upset as due to being a 3 stone setting, I don’t know if it’s the way the diamonds are set or the size or what not.. But there are two deep small spaces between the center stone and outter stones and because of this it looks like 2 really dark shadows!!
I would love some feedback – I want to know if I’m crazy or if I do have a valid point!!

I actually didn’t mind the spacing, mainly because the focal point is the centre stone.

Thanks ladies! It must be the stress getting to me! Lol

@Soontobemrsdv: I agree with what the others said. I like the gap and think it looks nice. I like the way the gap keeps all 3 stones from blending together. Instead, you can see how they are all distinct and beautiful. Gorgeous ring!!

When my Fiance and I were working on picking out rings, the setting we chose was for a 1ct diamond and we ended up getting a diamond on the larger end of 3/4. At first I was appalled at the thought of the gap, but really with how sparkly it is I don’t even mind. I think it adds some dimension!

I think the spacing really highlights each individual stone. I would never look at that ring and think anything was wrong with it. But, you have to be happy with it.

Soontobemrsdv: beautiful! I dont mind the gaps at all. plus the gap will help filter more light into the center stone to so it sparkle more!!

It’s GORGEOUS, but like other bees have said, you have every right to be 100% satisfied. If it’s something that will bother you, it’s definitely worth getting “fixed”. 🙂
