My man is such a babe and I want to choose a wedding band for him as a suprise.
He is a difficult customer, not being a jewllery-wearer, he’s very rustic, a surfer, very masculine, and… a chef (yes not sure how ring wearing will work out)
I want to find him a ring that he will actively love and not just because he has to wear one (he doesn’t have to, but it would mean a lot to me and is super sexy, and he has agreed to.)
what sort of rings have to you found to please your non-jewellery-wearing macho men?
I have wood at the back of my mind, but I would love to see some of your pics and details!

I would go Koa wood all the way!

My fiancé picked a Koa wood with platinum. Both he and I love it!

My fiancee picked a matte design 100% carbon fiber ring.. he’s so NOT into rings, but he said it played to his nerdy side and it’s super light and durable. I had to look around the net to find one that was 100% but I really like the way it looks. I highly doubt mine will wear his all the time, he was really into the idea of doing a tattoo on his ring finger, but he’s agreed to give the ring thing a shot 🙂

My husband didn’t want a normal wedding ring so we found this for him. He likes thick, manly stuff. It was perfect for him. It’s from Bill Wall Leather.

Ack sorry this is so big! My man really liked the look of this one. He works with his hands so he probably won’t wear it all the time but we both really liked this one.

I would not recommend wood – it’s not terribly durable, and if he’s a surfer and active, it’ll get wrecked pretty quickly. Wood rings are beautiful, but they aren’t a great choice for a ring meant to be worn every day. If he doesn’t like jewelry, the simpler the better. Plain bands really are a good choice for most men, especially those who will wear and beat up their rings. And if he’s a macho man, he might find inticate rings too “girly”.
We have a surfer friend, and he, along with another friend of ours and my jewelry-hating husband all love their plain titanium rings. My husband got this one in brushed finish:
He’s even received compliments from other men on his ring. The flat profile/brushed finish looks modern and clean – I liked it so much hubby got one for me, too!
