HELP! going to try on dresses, best body shapers?

It kind of depends on where you’re going and what types of dresses you’re trying on. At David’s Bridal, they give you a slip and a girdle-like contraption to wear, so you wouldn’t need anything for that. Higher end dresses have a lot of supportive construction inside them, so you don’t even need so much as a bra with those. 

If you do want something, however, your best bet is to go to a department store (I usually go to Kohls) and see what they have available. They typically have a mix of thigh, hip, and stomach shapers, some of which have straps and some of which don’t.

I love Rago shapers, the pretty heavy duty ones that are like long shorts with a high waist. Warning though, you need to size waaaaay up. Follow the measurements not the size. I’m a 27″ in jeans and a large in Rago shorts.

Morgan Daguison :  I also heard about Rago on the Bee and got one – and OMG, it was amazing! Crazy tight to wear, but worth it if you want your tummy flattened!
