Hello everyone! i am getting married it October in Hawaii. My boyfriend and I are not technically engaged, though we have been together for almost 5 years. We kind of did things backwards, seeing as we are planning the wedding now, but he has not given me a ring. He wants me to pick out my own ring, and I am having so much trouble. I have found a ring that I love, but I do not know how to approach the carat size. I have a size 7.5 finger, and I am from Houston. I only mention where I am from because there are people from all walks of life here, who can afford some very serious bling, as well as very modest bling, so it wouldn’t stick out no matter what I got. I am debating between a 2-3 carat micro pave ring. Could you all please post your pictures of your larger stones on thicker fingers? I am trying to get a good visual of what is a nice size and just too big! 🙂 THANKS, BEES!!!!
This is the one I have fallen in love with!

2-3 carats is pretty big and definitely will not look small! 🙂
I have a size 7 finger and my ring is a 3/4 carat center stone with a halo making it take up about as much space as a 1.5 carat diamond…

I have 7.5 ring size as well…..I have a 3 carat but my fiancé put a thicker micro pave band so the band evens out the diamond (wish he made it more dainty…like most ppl think it looks like a 2 carat :T

Sorry no big stone but I have to say a size 7.5 in my books is not big or fat. I just wanted to show what a small TCW looks on a size 7.5. My ring is a total of 0.53 carrats.

My finger size is 7.5ish (mine swell often). I have a 1 carat center stone with a very small band. I would love a larger stone one day, but this is good for now!!! It’s a great size for me.

My ring size is 7.25 (which is bigger than my FH’s lol) but I got my Dad’s hands 🙂 I have a 1ct. ring and I don’t think it looks bad 🙂 (in this picture the ring was not the right size it’s the day I got engaged and it was warmer out)

Mine is definitely not 2-3 carats, but I wear the same size as you (7.5)! Here’s my .78 ct. just so you have a good variety to reference 🙂

My ring finger is a 8.75, lol! I am going to design my ring around a .55 diamond that was my grandmothers, trying to fill up that finger span, probably with a double halo. If I wasn’t using my grandmothers stone I would probably shop for a 2 – 3 carat stone to take up the space on my finger. I think with your size finger a 2-3 carat would be perfect.
