I was engaged for less than 8 months and it was plenty long enough! We even did save the dates,  2 showers, bachelor/ bachelorette parties, the whole 9 yards. The only thing that kinda sucked was limited availability of dates at the venue we loved, so we just went with a Friday wedding instead of Saturday. It all worked out wonderfully, we had an amazing wedding 🙂

Oh, and Pinterest was definitely a life saver, I had 4 different wedding boards that kept me organized.

It is definitely possible! Just remember to pace yourself. Make deadlines and follow them (There are tons of planning websites that will help with this) There are so many amazing resources online that will make your day easy and adorable. The first thing I did when I started wedding planning was look for a photographer and this was because I knew how busy May was for weddings and wanted to get a good one!

Good luck to you!

We have been talking about getting married for over a year. He hasn’t even proposed yet, but he has the ring. We are looking at a date in August or September. I am feeling slightly overwhelmed right now just because I haven’t found a venue that we care for yet. We’ve already looked at rings, I picked out a dress, cake is taken care of, we are going to do our own paper goods. I’m going to purchase linens instead of renting them (one rental company has a complete monopoly here and I don’t care for their pricing), I’m going to make all the centerpieces, and we are going to order our flowers in bulk from Sam’s Club. It is definitely doable!

@cowgirlace:  Pinterest and Wedding Bee have definitely given me 95% of my inspiration. Definitely going to be doing a lot of DIY, I’ve already started on the more tedious stuff.

You can totally plan a wedding in that amount of time! I would go with looking at venues first as they book fast! Are you engaged yet though?

I agree with Pinterest and try using Weddingwire.com or here on the Bee for vendors in your area. I made sure to really read reviews before choosing my vendors!

Lovely colors!

@jjbeee1993:  They don’t have a HUGE selection, but they have enough of what I wanted to make it work! I would definitely recommend taking a look!
