i’ve had my dress for a year. my wedding isn’t until next year. so obviously, i think it’s fine to have a dress so early.

i’m glad you found a dress you love so much!

@rrweddingday15:  nope not too early! I second PPs about not looking around (and this website has sooo many people posting dresses.)  I ended up getting regret and getting a different dress because I saw so many other things I liked. Whoops.

Plenty of girls order their dresses way in advance, so no worries! It gives you lots of time fore whatever alterations you may want or need. (I ordered mine at the last minute and alterations were rushed!) and as the other girls said, don’t look at other gowns!

@rrweddingday15:  You are definitely not crazy! My wedding is March 2014, and I bought my dress last December so you only bought yours a month earlier than I did. It’s really nice getting things out of the way early. I got so much planning done early on that it’s given me time now to work on the details without freaking out. Then again, I’ve been working and finishing my master’s so I’ve had a lot to focus on besides the wedding.

There is nothing wrong with that! My only suggestion – dont continue to look at dresses! I got mine fairly early and kept worrying on whether I got the right dress. Thankfully I fell in love with it all over again but dress “regret” happens to so many soon to be brides while they are waiting.

Congrats on getting your dress! πŸ™‚

I got my dress and the wedding isn’t till Oct 2015. I know I love it, though, and I don’t keep looking at others. Everytime I see pics of me in it from the salon I just think, Damn I look good! haha. I can’t wait to wear it again.

I got my dress six months ago and my wedding isn’t until April 2015. I have no regrets even when I see other dress pics πŸ™‚

@rrweddingday15:  I don’t think you can ever shop too soon. If you know in your heart this was the “one” than thats all that matters. As everyone else has been saying don’t look at other gowns. I wouldn’t even look at pictures of the dress you ordered (on your or on a model) that way you can’t start picking the dress apart. The next time I’d look at the dress would be when it comes in and you go for your first fitting! Avoid dress regret at all cost (as I see so much of it on the bee)!!! Congrats on finding your dress!!

@rrweddingday15:  I did the same thing, fell in love with my dress in October of this year and bought it even though my wedding was a year and a half away. I also wanted to get it out of the way so I could save up and pay things off in a more timely fashion. You’re not crazy! Just don’t keep looking if you take the plunge πŸ™‚

Nope, not too early. You would have had to order it in 3-6 months anyway, so it’s not that crazy early. I agree w/ PP, don’t continue to look at dresses!
