I went to many many different stores to find my dress…… at the first few I was very restrictive with the sales gals and told them what I didn’t want. And then I end up buying something completely different than what I thought I wanted!!!! So now I’m feeling like if I hadn’t been restrictive I might have found a better dress in the beginning……
I guess we all have a little dress regret since there are so so so many options out there…… anyone else feeling like this ? or should I go looking for a new dress ?!?!?!

@ms.oregon.state: Well guess what – I also had dress regret and I even Purchased a second dress, unbeknownst to everyone. Now I am back to my first choice and the second one is for sale! Your mind can play tricks on you sometimes – I wish I had let well enough alone and stopped looking.

khf777 and I are in the SAME boat..
My dress also isn’t what I thought I wanted hell I didn’t even know. All I know now is that why my first dress is ok and I think I look great in the mirror.. I CAN NOT buy another dress over again.

@ms.oregon.state: From my experience it was better for me to stick with my gut. I spent 6 months looking for a dress and went to 7 bridal shops… and I tried on 50-60 dresses! I wanted a dress that was completely different from the one I ended up with (btw, the dress I ended up with was the very first one I tried on 6 months ago), but I never felt comfortable in those “completely different” dresses. I actually put a deposit down on one of those “completely different” dresses and just felt a sense of dread after doing so. I went back the next day and got the one I thought I didn’t want and am happier because of it.
It just depends on how the dress makes you feel.
I think this can apply to more than just test taking… A professor of mine told me to go with your initial gut instinct unless you get one of those “Aha!” moments. Anyway, good luck deciding.

Thanks ladies!! I guess I will wait until it comes in and try it on again…… then see how I feel. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone! =)

I felt this way too (and we have the same dress)! I decided to just suck it up. When we went to the same bridal salon to look at bridesmaids dresses I got to see it again and fell back in love. I hope the same happens to you!
Oh! What also helped me get over it was seeing you in the same dress! It’s gorgeous. I still google the dress for pictures once in a while.

I haven’t been dress shopping yet…but I made a post about being a short bride & what style would look the best & I got ALOT of responses telling me to try ALL styles on b/c you never know! I think if you are that uneasy about it, go again & try on some more styles! Hope you find “the one” that makes you happy! 🙂

@ms.oregon.state: You are sweet. It looks BEAUTIFUL on you. If it’s driving you crazy you may as well go try it on again and if you don’t like it, try something else. Dress regret sucks!
