I’m in southern california, I could help you.

Whats your budget, and what do you absolutely have to have and what can you do without?

Try the Grand event center in Long Beach. Their prices are fairly low, especially if your date is on a Sunday. I booked there and I was able to get stuff discounted saved myself close to a grand. Good luck.

I agree with PP. I’m August 28th, which is a sunday and I saved close to 5k on my ceremony and reception site. Plus, that saturday may already be booked everywhere you look, being almost 4 months out.

I’m so sorry!

First try calling your venue- numbers should be forwarded somewhere.  They may have places to refer you to.  When you do visit a new place, have NO shame in telling them what happened.  Some of them that may be competitors to your original venue should know about this by now and should be willing to work with you.

Any place that is open at this point really should WANT your wedding to book with them. So ask for discounts.  This is short term business in the wedding world and you should be able to save – if no where else than on rental/setup fees.

I’ve had similar situations in the past – where a place would close or have fire damage.  I would try to get in touch with whereever it was and get my info out to their brides with open dates… I was happy to book to fill up my ‘holes’ and happy to help them relocate their special day.

Good luck!!!

@channym:

I looked up a whole bunch of places in LA, Orange County for another bride to be-I have some ideas, but I’ll have to double check your needs when I am more awake tomorrow.  I’m sure I will be able to give you at least 3-4 ideas tomorrow. PM me!
