No, I think it is perfect.
No, I think it is perfect.
to me, that’s “modest”
Depends on the type of wedding you’re having- If it’s in a church, I think it’s a bit much, but otherwise, it really looks great!
You look fantastic! (and I’m a prude).. my gown sits too low, and it’s very similar in shape and fit to yours; I just took it back to alterations, and the lady let it out a bit, then I held it up as she repinned it lower down on the hips. Hopefully once she’s sewn back together, it’ll sit a bit higher so I won’t have my arms pinned to my sides all night. Just doing this alone is setting my mind at ease. If you still feel weary, maybe it’s an option for you as well! (Though you look great!!! 🙂
I think you look great! Definitely not too much cleavage.
I think that you look great! I don’t think that it is too much cleavage at all. My dress was very similar to this and was a corset top. The only comment that I have from seeing the candid photos from my wedding is that when I am sitting down my boobs look massive. I don’t think that it looks trashy but they look way bigger than normal. Because the dress was so fitted, when I sat down the dress kind of adjusted up a little and moved my boobs up with it because there was no where else for them to go. Perhaps you could sit in the dress and have someone take a few pictures to see what that looks like. I never sat in my wedding dress at all until just before the ceremony.
Girrrrl, when I read the topic of this thread, I expected you to be hanging all sorts of out of your dress! You look amazing, not too much cleavage by any means!
Naww thank you bees for all your lovely replies.
You have put me at ease a little! I tossed and turned all night about it. I texted my dress maker this morning and asked her if I could go back into the store, and try on again.
I want to see if it will sit a little higher…and perhaps if it should be made a little tighter.
I am also going to sit down in front of the mirror and see where they go and how they look. I am going to be facing guests all night and I want to make sure I am happy with how they look.
I will give you all an update soon. But thanks for your honesty…if 90% of you think that it looks OK and not trashy then perhaps I am being overlly sensitve. I have my reasons I am insecure about how I look…but not going to get into that 🙂
I just got back from dressmaker and everything is now 100% fine!!!
When we put the dress on this time….instead of scooping up the bust into the dress…I just left them….and she did the dress up. There was ZERO clevage and they looked amazing! They did feel a little squashed but it wasn’t uncomfortable…it felt just more firm. They were not going anywhere!
I then sat down in a chair and the dress sat firm across my chest. There was no spillage whatsoever!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am just so relieved! Thank you for all your comments. I am glad that I did go back to her – otherwise it would be playing on my mind for the next 4 weeks!
I hope my thread can help other brides to be in a similar situation. Sometimes you just need to manevoure things around and it has nothing to do with major alterations!!! yay
No. But thanks for giving me an excuse to look. Nice rack!
I’d be a shame not to not show any cleavage, in my opinion.
I think your dress looks lovely.
THAT is not what I was expecting! Lol, no, not at all. Not even close. You look great.
Nice rack! … Just kidding!!! No, I mean, not kidding about the nice rack, just kidding about…. ok nevermind. LOL
Seriously, you look beautiful. That is a perfectly normal and acceptable amount of cleavage, even in front of grandma, your baby nephew, and God.
