I am having a rustic vintage theme wedding in less than two weeks! EEEEEK! There is one detail I need to finish up and that is how to cover this picture on the wall at my venue. I asked them to remove it, but there is something behind it that it serves the purpose of covering. I need ideas of a cute, cheap, fast way to cover this thing. I love the idea of using twine and clothe pins (which i have already purchased) to do a photo display type thing, but I have no idea what to put it on. Ideas?
Sorry for the small picture, I took a screen shot on the virtual tour.

Is there any way you could wrap the painting with paper (like a pretty patterned gift wrap or kraft brown paper) similar to how you would wrap a gift? You could then loop the twine around the painting and secure it in the back, and then pin the photos to the twine across the front.

@tartlet: I really like this idea!! It would add to the rustic theme and cover the photo properly as well!!

How much do you hate the photo? It seems to blend into the room and I bet (with all your tables/decor) wouldn’t really be noticed.

My first question is, what will the venue let you do to the picture? Will they let you cover it?

you could put up a pipe and drape, which that size would be really easy to DIY. The pipe and drape there could serve as a photo background for guests to get a photo of themselves. The background draping could be a vintage pattern that matches your theme.

It took me a very long time to find the photo, so I agree with oracle in that it probably won’t be noticable.
Otherwise even a drape on those 3m things that are removable (ugg the name would help eh) would work.

You could hang matieral over it or cover it with paper. Need a photo backdrop? There you go!

I like Tarlet’s idea.
Maybe wrap it with something cohesive to your theme, then hang pictures from different layers and levels of twine…
Maybe you could hang dofferent pictures of you and Fiance throughout your relationship.

Honestly, it too me a little while to figure out what photo you were talking about. I would just leave it alone. Any attempt to cover it or hide it could emphasize the fact that you are trying to cover or hide something. I am sure nobody will pay attention to it.
If you really want it gone though, you could always get a really nice picture of you and your Fiance and blow it up and put it there instead.
