I am not a religious person, but I would like to appease Future Mother-In-Law by getting a Christian officiant for an outdoor ceremony.
How does one go about doing that? I don’t know much about anything religious and was pretty much raised Buddhist. So…if anyone knows how to do this please share the wealth. If you know of anyone in NYC that’s even better!

We just asked around. I have several friends and co-workers who are active in their churches, and even do Bible study at lunch. They all had recommendations, and we ended up going with a retired minister who was a friend of the guy in the office next to me! Our photographer also had recommendations, as did the catering manager from our venue. We were actually sort of stunned at how hard we thought it was, but the minute I opened my mouth to complain about it, everybody had a suggestion. I would suggest that you just do the same, and see where it goes!

I’m not religious either so we got someone from the courthouse to come to our outdoor ceremony.
Any reason you’d like a Christian officiant vs a neutral person?
