this is my venue (its in new zealand btw!) http://www.signofthetakahe.co.nz/signature-restaurant.html
sorry that i have no good photos – its very gothic style, like a castle but a little funky – stone walls, fireplace, armour, stained glass, wood, blue and gold carpet
we actually chose it b/c of its history and gorgeous view but i also like it b/c its very “done” – so we don’t have to decorate too much – but what do i do about flowers/colors?
i was thinking of deep jewel tones for the color elements – there are not many maybe bridesmaids dresses which i was thinking could be mixed (cermony will be out side) deep jewel tones and ivory flowers. i’d like to have peacock feather bouts and hair clips for the bridesmaids too b/c i love the deep colors.
any ideas? sorry if this is not much to go on!!! a million thanx!

Jewel tones are so lovely, I think they’d be amazing in a venue like that! It really all depends on what you want. You could do a traditional neutral linen as your tablecloth and napkins and then dazzle it up with a nice punch of your jewel tone of choice. The amethyst and emeralds are very in right now 🙂 You could also do a very simple and elegant centerpiece which features a tall or grouping sample of candles in a neutral color and then off set them with petals of deep red or burgandy orchids or petals of classic ruby red roses! Good luck!

Wow your venue is soooo classy, congrats! I would choose shades of peach (roses, peonies, dahlias), ivory and sage green. Plus, candles candles candles
