@Slbauer87: I think it looks amazing on you….BUT, if you are not 100% thrilled I say try on a few more that have the shape you want before saying yes.
It truly is beautiful, I looked at her line of dresses and wondered how they fit but never tried any on.
I agree though that the neckline looks a bit low, but the material OH gorgeous and love the back!!

I agree with what sablemuse said as well…
for me, I have an hourglass shape, but I have a wide chest and a smaller cup size…many of the dresses I tried on the bustline was way off mainly because they were deep sweethearts (which I thought I wanted…)
I watched an eipsode of something old something new, and I heard the guy comment that smaller busts should wear a straighter neckline, as they look better. For me this was true (I’m a 34c or 36b for reference). I think if I would have ende up with a sweeetheart neckline it would have been a modfied or less deep,…but in the end I choose a straight.

I think it looks awesome, BUT if something bothers you about it before you buy it, it wont just magically go away after you buy it. Keep looking. If you keep coming back to that dress, get it, if you find something else you love, so be it.

I think a sash would add a lot of pizzaz to it!! But truly, it’s lovely!

@sablemuse: thank you for your honesty! You said everything that I’ve been thinking but couldn’t find the right words. Since this first dress, I have gone dress shopping a few other times. During each visit I found a new favorite. The second time I went shopping I liked the Maggie Sottero Roni.
After trying on Roni, a few days later I had an epiphany. I realized that I needed to give other dresses a chance and maybe try other fabrics besides satin and organza. Everything i had been trying on wasnt doing anything for me or for my figure. i felt like every dress was too bulky or just too much dress. I felt like my waist looked huge and my chest looked small, which really isnt the case… I just wasn’t happy with anything I was finding…
That was when I went back and tried on a few different styles of dresses and some of those included lace dresses (which originally I wanted nothing to do with- I always associated lace with vintage and I am definitely not a vintage style girl). That was when I tried on Maggie Sottero’s Everett dress and instantly fell in love.
All of the bad things about the satin dress didn’t exist in this dress and I finally felt sexy. I have a petite hourglass figure (36-24-37) so I wanted something that fit tight to my body showing off my curves. This dress (while lace wasn’t my origjnal thought) made me feel sexy, gorgeous, beautiful… basically everything I wanted!!! FINALLY!!!

@sablemuse: here is the Roni: pretty but still not figure flattering on me… PS excuse the subtle blurryneas- they didn’t want me taking pictures 🙁 so I snuck one!!! 🙂

@sablemuse: here is my pick (finally): the Everett!!! obviously this isnt a high quality picture- the detailing and embellishments are gorgeous and there is more embelishing around where the bustle will go. I also love the v in the back and the inner corset closure.

@Slbauer87: I liked your first dress better. Although the Roni is more of what you’re looking for, it looks quite similar to the ubiquitous generic fitted satin wedding gown. Plus, as you said, it doesn’t really showcase your curves. I think you should keep looking.
ETA: Your pick is gorgeous, though! It does everything you said (your figure looks awesome), and I really like the pinned skirt + spiderweb-delicate lace. Great choice.

@Slbauer87: You got it girl! Amazing! It’s the vertical seams, the deeper sweatheart, the wider flare, the flow of the material. That is *your* dress!
Now pair with a fingertip or a cathedral veil, with some sparkle in the hair and this is going to be breathtaking.

@Slbauer87: If I can find a store near me that has this dress, I might want to try it on…was it heavy?
