Sounds like you really want a diamond. A lab diamond sounds like it would be the best way to go for you.
It is possible to have a budget of 60k and I don’t see anything wrong with it if it fits your lifestyle. If you can afford it, get what you really want!
A lab diamond will still be expensive but you could probably get more size for your money that way and it will be a diamond. Good luck!

By your post and your use name, I think it’s safe to assume you’re not anywhere near a 60k budget. At least you’re not putting that strain on your boyfriend. If you get a 4 ct ring on a small budget, no one will believe it’s diamond. Don’t try to pass it off as diamond either.
I have a 3.5 ct moissanite engagement ring. I also have couple of diamond rings that are over 4 ct (family rings). I wanted a moissanite ring, not diamond though. I already have 2 diamond rings I never wear due to size and just felt more comfortable with ethics and price of moissanite from my husband. But side by side, the difference is obvious especially in such a large stone. With my family and such, people assume my engagemnet ring is real diamond but I correct them. Don’t be that person that tries to pass it off as diamond.
