I need some opinions from the bees! My recycled 5.5mm wide white gold band with .4ct constellation style flush set diamonds has been set with the low-profile, heavy bezel to hold an (approx) 2ct oval gem. I have narrowed it down to 2…for the past 3 months…this is as far as I’ve progressed I think that some opinions would be helpful from girls who are/have spent some time weightliy considering ring options.
I just keep flip-flopping back and forth, and my sweet, sweet husband, (yes, it’s true, I did have my ring finished in time for our wedding…had the band in the pix with a 1ct eternity band
Both stones are exceptional, similarly priced, sized, etc. The Padparadscha is a certified natural, untreated Sapphire, the diamond is clarity enhanced but is a VS1 F…so very nice, as well and it is a tad bigger but will still fit the bezel. The pix do not do justice to either…lighting is wierdly affected with my iPhone; I posted just the band so you can get a better idea. So…which do you think is the correct choice?

@dzinagirl: By The Way…please pay no attention to my gnarly hands…I’ve been painting (oils) and they are in terrible shape Aside from that, I am no little-bee…in my 30’s!!

The diamond. I love it set east west. The sapphire is pretty but for my taste it reminds me of a RHR. Even though both are beautiful. I would still go for the diamond. Good luck on your choice!

Both are beautiful and I love a good bezel setting, but I would pick the diamond because it goes with everything. I am the kind of person that if my ring was red and I’m wearing pink, I would think I looked weird. With a clear stone, you don’t have to worry about that. Not sure if that matters to you, but I wanted to chime in. (:

Diamond, and I love your ring!

I love the setting, and I like the diamond better, it sparkles more in the setting.

I think I am in the minority here, but I love the sapphire. I think it stands out and adds a nice pop of color. And it’s beautiful!

I am surprised I’m saying sapphire cause I’m normally all about the diamonds, but that sapphire is STUNNING!

I’m a huge colored stone fan, but I have to vote diamond. The sapphire looks like it goes kind of dead/dark in the setting – the diamond looks clean, sparkly, and bright.
I love the ring, btw!

I love the sapphire!! And your nail polish? Are you wearing susie by julep? If not it’s the same color and i’m wearing it 🙂

I’m usually a sapphire person, but I’ve gotta vote diamond. It looks to me like the parapadascha is giving a weird contrast tone to your skin that I’m not a fan of.

the nail poslish is called “fiver” & it’s by Butter of London. Kind of a unsaturated minty blue…it’s Spring-y
Thanks for your opinion, btw….I appreciate everyone’s time
