@holly.darbous: I think lilac would look really pretty with the gray and silver things you’ve already purchased. I think lilac is a really pretty color and wouldn’t be tacky at all.

Are you going to be outside where there is a bunch of wildflowers?  Could get your colors from being outside instead of needing to get away from your grey/silver.

I second one of the pp’s suggestion of using wild flowers and the two colors that come to mind are yellow and orange. Here are some suggestions for a summer wedding:

I’m huge on letting amazing views speak for themselves.  That venue is spectacular naturally.  I’d be tempted to stick with a full neutral palette.  (I’m totally biased though, because I added NOTHING to my ceremony site except chairs, and ourselves)  I had grey dresses with green and white bouquets for the girls.

@CarolinaCola: I agree, I was thinking of purple/lilac for my colors but decided to change it to make things a little less girly for my FH’s sake. I would suggest entertaining all possible ideas and to see how they look, go to google images and just type in “gray and purple wedding decor/colors” or “black and blue wedding colors” and look at how they go together. You can even get as specific as “brown dress and with blue” and see how the BMs dresses will look with whatever colors you pick. That’s how I decided I liked brown and blue better for my colors than purple and silver, just looked a little more like a wedding and not a prom. Purple is still my favorite color, though 🙂

I think you can definitely go with silver/white if you want to–monochrome is very in now, as I understand it. And your venue is breathtaking! I’m in awe.

Your venue is brathtaking. Simply breathtaking! I am huge on views 🙂 Both my wedding venue and reception venue and after party venue in Vegas wew picked largely in part because of the view, but they have nothing on yours. Your wedding will be amazing no matter what!
