Well i’ve been searching for around 4 months for a wedding dress and i am slowly running out of time to make a decision. I think my main issue is that ive never tried on a sample that fit’s as i’m a uk size 20 so anything ive tried on looks awful on me at the moment im debating on 2 dresses
Or should i just keep looking looking?
A little background about my wedding its all taking place in city centre hotel with a civil ceremony.
Any advice you can give will be much appreciated.

Do you have pictures of you in them? It would really help us help you 🙂

I agree with the above post that you in the dress makes it easier to say which is best. But in the end they are both beautiful dresses and i’m sure you look great in both!
Have you seen the Fiorella? It’s my dress, and I couldn’t try it on properly before I bought it eaither. But I did try on dresses with the same cut so I could get the feel for it and boy did it turn out great!! Any Maggie dress will make you look so good!! I’m a size 18, which is about a UK size 20 I believe, and the Rowena is cut very similar to the fiorella, and it looks awesome on me. So I’m sure it would look great on you too!!

I too agree with girls that seeing pictures of you in the dresses will help our opinions. You must look beautiful in both of them! Have you tried Kendra? It’s simpler than the Sabelle but is a gorgeous dress on!

Looks like you’re new to these boards, welcome! There aren’t too many of us based in the UK but as wedding issues seem to be universal you still get awsome advice on the boards.
Firstly, you still have plenty of time to order the dress, don’t let the shop assistants push you into committing before you’re ready. Take your time until it feels right.
If you can’t find dresses in your size to try on maybe you can look for picture of real brides in your dress to help you get an idea of how they actually look in real life rather than on a plank like model, there are a couple of great threads here on the boards for plus size brides showing off their beautiful dresses.
And there’s even a thread for real life Maggie Sottero brides:

I am a US size 20, but luckily I was able to find some local bridal shops with some dresses I could get on and some even fit me perfectly. I found out pretty quickly that certain dress features, like poofy bottoms or mermaid styles didn’t work well for my body type. A-line and ballgown with a simple skirt worked best on me. I ended up choosing an a-line dress and I really couldn’t tell how it would look on me because it the sample I tried on was four sizes too small. I had known enough by then though to know that it had the basic features that would work for me. So see if you can narrow it down from there. And I agree about checking out the plus size thread. I just posted my dress there because it was soooo helpful seeing all the dresses when I started looking. Good luck!

Thank you for all your advice Bee’s, im afraid the store doesnt allow photo’s to be taken which if im honest im slightly thankfull for as being squeezed into a dress 3 size’s too small isnt flattering to anyone……I love seeing everyone in there Maggie Sottero dresses, i am totally in love with her dresses so much so ive even spotted a new style on her website today Montana. Im never this in decisive so i may end up stick style names in a cup and picking one out. Did any of you have this much trouble deciding?

SaBelle is VERY popular! Very Beautiful! (My dear friend is wearing this for her May wedding!)
I love the drama and beauty it brings!
I am a Size 16/18 US Sizes, and I got a Maggie Dress, that was fitted and I knew I wanted to show some curve off! So if you got it, flaunt it, as long as thats your style! Both beautiful choices!
Another thought! I’ve tried on Maggie’s Satin dresses, and they are HEAVY! My dress is the Bordeaux Taff. like the SaBelle, and that was one thing that I LOVED about it! A lot lighter compared to the Satin! Not sure if that is concern for you! And in all honesty, I asked the lady to not show me ANYTHING in Taffeta and the last dressed she asked me to try for her, was the ONE && TAFFETA!
