I recently posted asking what you all thought about lemons or limes as centerpieces… and that got me thinking… Is it ok that its not very fallish, since I’m getting married next october!? If not what are good ideas for an accent color… my main colors are black,ivory/white… I feel that might be a little blahhh… help!?

@devyn: I also wanted to do a lemon and lime theme but it just didn’t go with my September wedding.
What if you did a red accent color to with your black & White theme?

What about a gorgeous deep plum color or some kind of gold? (If you’re scrapping the lemon/limes, that is. Which I don’t necessarily think you have to do.)

What about an orange? I’m thinking a burnt orange.
Or a dark green/olive the color Fern from DB is nice or a dark purple like Lapis (from DB also) Plum ,Wild Orchid ,Eggplant ,Wisteria. You can buy fabric samples for $1.
I am not sure if these are going to go well with you lemons and limes. Just throwing some fallish colors that would really pop with black and white. You don’t have to HAVE fall colors at a fall wedding (unless you want to). We wanted a fall wedding because its our favorite time of year with all those beautiful rich colors.

Yes, I agree with maybe an aubergine/plum or a gold/taupe/champagne color is you want super classy. Where/what is your venue?

It would be cool if you did an all black and white wedding with like purple vintage roses along with white and ivory flowers. Keep it classy and black and white but just a touch of colors in the flowers, maybe even shoes. What’s you fav color?

I think you can use the colours you have chosen and it will look gorgeous. Maybe do accents of different greens to get the “fall” look!

My first advice would be if you want to be be more fallish, what about a pomegrante color? I think that deep purply red would look really nice….
However, I’m also getting married in next October, and I say just because it’s a fall weddind doesn’t mean you can’t have it the way you want it. So what I really think is if you want lemon and limes…then you should do lemon and limes… My colors are fuscia, blue, white, and champagne, not very fallish but it’s what I want. I thought about doing more fall colors…but I know I’ll regret giving up what I really liked for something that matched the season. Be unique!
