We are getting married next June in Jamaica. I would like to give our guest welcome bags that are filled with cute items (we are getting married on the beach). Also we plan to bring all favors and welcome Items over with us and with the help of family. Do you gals have any ideas on great items to put in the welcome bags?? We are going to be at an all inclusive resort so I wasn’t going to put too many snacks/beverages in the bags.

@June232012: We are having a vow renewal in Mexico at an all-inclusive too. So there really isn’t much to bring for Welcome bags-but I was thinking of some items like getting an insulated tote bag, lip balm, and suntan lotion, and maybe a cute luggage tag?

@creativeplannertobee: Yeah that’s what I was thinking…maybe hand fans I forget what they are called…also I was going to include bug repellent I know OFF makes bug repellent in the form of a wipe so that would be easy to pack

Asprin & sunblocks would be a must include!!! Maybe fun sunglassess too??

@June232012 – are you shipping favors etc ahead of time? Or are your bringing them with you? I am having trouble thinking of ideas – besides the obvious ones already mentioned and I am might be having guests staying at other resorts?

my welcome themselves were part of the gift as i got nice mini canvas bags with Jamaica embroidered on them, here is a pic.
and here is what i put in them:
handmade best of Bob Marley CD
Deck of cards with “Montego Bay, Jamaica” as the logo on them with a palm tree
Wedding week itinerary printed on beach stationary rolled up and tied with purple ribbon
personalized Jamaica postcard with welcome note written on back
generic blank Jamaica postcard
Travel size bottle of sunscreen
pack of gum
travel size ibuprofen pack

@kristiew417: i think its cheaper if i bring my favors/welcome bad items in our luggage i believe that it is cheaper to pay $25 for extra luggage vs having it shipped over

@June232012 – Its a good idea! I am worried that something would be damaged. I have seen what they do to people’s luggage….I have even had my own bag damaged. (I am thinking of incorporting a starfish into my favor/gift bags). Me personally I am going to stuff as much as I can in my carry on and hope for the best!!

There are some great suggestions here. May I add a water wallet to them? I am including two water wallets in each Out of Town bag so guests can put their money, ID and room keys in. They can throw the wallet around their neck and go. They are waterproof too so perfect for keeping valuables safe and your person while in the pool.
I got mine for $1.04 each with the lanyard from CreativeIDSupply on Ebay. I will be dressing them up with a little card inside that says “TO HAVE AND TO HOLD…Money, Keys and ID”.
We are also including different games in the bags (i.e. – crossword puzzles, playing cards, Uno cards, Scrabble Slam cards), inflatables (i.e. – beach balls, floaties for kids), Tropical Jelly Bellies (because they are Fiance fave), 5-hour energy drinks (because they were a staple in our relationship lol), a homemade hangover kit (with Tylenol, Immodium, Pepto, maybe an eye mask, breath mints), itinerary, gum and I think that’s it.
