vikijohnson:  I agree with you on preffering the band being like the last photo. I have no idea if they can do that, but its worth a shot!

vikijohnson: if you had to have a custom ring made, why not have it made like the first photo to start with?

I like your modification, but perhaps have a band made to look like the last photo and sell the custom band on loupe troop or diamond bistro?

I like the last photo much better. It looks unfinished in the first pics.

Yes I can see why you don’t like the ring as is. There’s two rows of diamond on one half of the ring so it’s uneven. The way you have it in the last pic is better but it does also change the shape of the ring. Not as much, of course.

I spoke with a jeweller who tried to push a double ring on me, the idea is it fits around your e-ring, the result would look like your last pic but with a third band along with the other two.

Your ring would fit into this ring, in between the two rows.

Maybe this won’t appeal to you as you may be thinking “What? I wanted less bling, not more!” but it’s an option if you’re looking for symmetry.

I’m so sorry you have ended up with something you don’t like. I have to agree, i don’t think it’s the right look for your beautiful e-ring. Lots of jewellers would be able to custom-make something in 4 weeks so don’t give up because of the time line, you actually have enough time to get something done about it but maybe not by SimonG.  How much clearance is under the basket of your e-ring?  I’ve seen pics where the wedding band has a gap in it, like this:

Maybe you could get diamonds all the way round so if you had to wear your wedding band without the e-ring, you can spin it so the gap is around the back.

vikijohnson:  I feel your pain because I went through so much hassle and anxiety having a plain band custom made. Bring in pictures and try to really explain how you want the two rings to line up together. You can always get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. My custom ring had to be sent back and redone but it’s finally ready after a month. Good luck and I think the last photo is better too.

vikijohnson:  Hmmm I can see what you mean. It’s not terrible or anything though! However, I think maybe that shape would have worked better without the diamonds or with a pretty pattern instead? I like the pic you think would look better too, but if you plan to wear your W ring alone, it might be a bit weird… I personally would return this one and get a plain band or patterned band to go with it

vikijohnson:  That ring your SO bought is gorgeous!!!!!!! Well done to him, has some great taste! 🙂

Too bad it’s created such a gap – otherwise I’d say that’s the ring!
