You sound pretty on the ball to me πŸ™‚  We’re getting married on June 30th and here’s what we have done so far:

Venue for ceremony and reception

Officiant (I see that you’re in PA – are you near Philly?  If so I could send you the name of ours – she’s wonderful!)

Flowers for reception (provided by venue) I still have to get in touch about a bouquet

Make up & Hair

  • I love lists! We have…
  • booked Venue
  • selected menu, bar options, cake, etc
  • ordered linens
  • Booked DJ
  • booked salon
  • booked photographer
  • booked limo
  • centerpieces & wood table numbers designed
  • booked honeymoon
  • candy buffet supplies bought (except candy)
  • playlist and song selection chosen
  • ceremony written
  • Save-The-Date Cards created by sister and sent
  • dress waiting in the salon for me
  • shoes, veil, accessories ordered
  • Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are in
  • grooms have been told to get black suits, ties bought as gifts
  • DIYed: all Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts, card basket, signs, bathroom baskets, Here Comes the Bride sign, Mr Mrs table
  • flowers decided and deposit put down
  • Invitations designed by me and about to be ordered
  • rehearsal dinner planned
  • made registry

Need: rings, dress fittings, groom to find a suit, research late night snack option, meet with officiant to finalize ceremony, make centerpieces, re-do wedding DVD photoshow as it got erased, finalize Out of Town baskets

Last night my hard drive with most of my documents, projects, pics, etc was erased. Fiance says, “babe maybe that’s a good thing… because you were running out of things to do.”

How bad is that?

Gonna go stress out now…..

@lealorali:  I am not a June bride but I was reading this out of curiousity because some of you June Bee’s are WAY ahead of me and I am getting married in 2 months!! But question, how did you do your DVD slideshow? I really want to do one but have no idea how!

@Brooklyn55:  I did it REALLY easily on Windows Live Movie Maker. I made one for my friend for her wedding and she loved it. You just “Add Photos and Video”, adjust the timing and scheme… it’s so easy! You can do title slides, captions, black and white. I think iMovie works well too, my students use that for projects a lot.

And don’t go by me in terms of where you should be in the planning process. I am super, SUPER motivated, have time, love DIY and am a control freak, Thus, everything gets done about 3 months ahead of time. Sigh.

@cre2013:  oh you should be ok.  It seems overwhelming tho! you have a list just tackle something every week, and be DONE with it, so you can cross it off yoru list.  You’ll be fine.
