My fiance wanted me to pick out the ring I wanted, but I made him do it. However, when he found THE ONE, for some reason it couldn’t be sized the way we needed or something and he was really upset. So, I helped him out and we picked a new one out together.

My ring isn’t huge by any means. It’s just the little bit of sparkle I wanted.  But that’s the only thing I have ever second guessed. And I only started second guessing it when I starting coming on weddingbee and seeing everyone compare rings.  Mine is tiny and sometimes it feels like everyone on the bee has rings that are HUGE.

It’s a bit like dress shopping. I think once you find the one, STOP looking. You will only start second guessing yourself. Good luck!

SO and I decided that we’d pick out my ring together – even down to the exact diamond. To add to it, we bought from Blue Nile so I couldn’t try on exact settings. Because we had so many stone options, we spent a lot of time online waiting for just what we wanted. When the ring came (today!) and I tried it on to make sure it fit and we were happy, it was hard not to double guess even though I LOVE it. You’re so involved that you can almost always think about the different options you didn’t choose that you might have liked better in the end, the slightly larger/smaller stone, etc. I think if you are less involved, there’s the possibility of really not liking the ring (a whole other issue), but you won’t be doubting your own decision.

Long story short: I know exactly how you feel, but have confidence that you chose what you really wanted and will love!

My FFI let me pick out my own ring. And let me tell you I looked for Three months!!!! And kept changing my mind and I was driving him and myself nuts!  But I finally just bit the bullet and am now having one custom made.  Im really excited to see it finished but after looking at all the lovely ladies rings on here I keep second guessing myself.  But I feel less stressed now because I made myself stop looking and I just know when I finally get it, ill fall in love with the settig all over again.  I just keep thinking back to how I felt when I had the similar setting on in the store and focus on that.

That’s tough because you don’t want to have ring envy or ring regret. My friend didn’t tell her man and now she is ALWAYS tellling me and our other friend about how much she loves our rings and hates hers and wishes she cound get a different ring but she;s only had hers a year and her hudband would be so sad if she told him now. I think it’s best to tell him now. Maybe? No?

@Mrs_Shelton13:  Have you considered leaving the final choice up to him? Like give him a few rings you know you’d be really happy with and make him choose “the one” — so his choice is what MAKES it “the one” because it’s “the one” your love chose for you!
