chigirl217bride: Your ring is beautiful! I would go for something thinner and more simple (I do love the engagement ring alone too actually). And if it were me? Probably a plain band. That would be so pretty! Either way, your ring is very pretty, good luck with your decision!

chigirl217bride: I think both of the DY bands you’ve posted are pretty. And both look lovely with your ring. The thicker one (2.5mm) stands out a bit more. I think the fact that it’s a bit wider gives it enough substance to stand next to your beautiful ERing and not disappear. The thinner one is also lovely, but, to my eye, it seems to blend in a little bit more with the band of your ERing.
I read in a previous comment that you are opposed to a plain band. But I still wanted to toss in that I think a plain band would be really beautiful with your ERing, especially if you decide to add a birthstone band later on, after you have your first child. If you went with a plain (or plain with milgrain), I think a thinner width (like 2mm) would stand out beautifully next to your ERing. I also think a 2.5 mm plain would be pretty, but the 2mm wouldn’t disappear.
What about a band with a subtle pattern to it? Or maybe one with flush-set stones? Something like that might be a nice match with your ERing. Even though you feel you have shorter fingers (believe me, I feel your pain; my finger is only about 2.5 inches long, too), I think you have a good bit of room to add a third band down the line — even if you go with a 2.5 mm width.
For the third band, I think a birthstone band for the baby would be beautiful. Or, maybe even a band combining your birthstone, your FI/DH’s birthstone, and your baby’s birthstone.
Miss-Mauverick: I love, love, love your set. So beautiful and elegant, and it looks perfect on you.
