this is not the first post about the dress. the back of it initially had 4 panels of free-flowing satin going down to the ruffles and i hated it. luckily the seamstress was able to sew the panels together and it looks fabulous. however, she had to pull fabric and now the front hip area is a nightmare. i’ve always been self-conscious about my hip area and overall pear shape, so why did i buy a dress that seems to highlight the body flaw i hate the most? i didn’t know my future Mother-In-Law was taking this picture and as you can see i’m trying to hide my hips and look very unhappy.
this is my 2nd fitting, does anyone know if letting it out is even an option or is that fabric probably gone? i was going to try spanx for hip and thigh area, do we think it will pull it in enough?

I think you look great, but I would just get spanx if you want to be smaller.

I think you look fabulous in the dress! We’re always our own worst critics, and I definitely don’t notice ANYTHING wrong with your hip area! If it’s something you’re self-conscious about, though, Spanx would probably help a little!

I don’t think that you look huge in your dress. I agree with AMANDA.LYNN.

Honey, you look GORGEOUS! seriously, you look amazing and the dress looks exactly how it should in my opinion. I definitely wouldnt let it out when I think Spanx will boost your confidence whether we can see a difference or not.

UH……you look great!!! I almost dont see a difference between the altered and not altered dress, if anything it gives you more curves which is a GOOD thing 🙂

I think you look fantastic. I think the detail at the bust draws attention up, and makes you look like a perfectly balanced hourglass figure. If you’re uncomfortable, Spanx will probably suck you in just enough to make you feel like the fabric isn’t clinging to your hips, but as far as I’m concerned, totally not necessary!

I barely looked at the other comments, because i know they all said, WHAT? What hips? You look great in your dress!

You don’t look huge at all, you look great!

I’d say go for the spanx, just to ease your mind. Cause I dont think you need it. The dress looks GREAT on you as it is!!!!!

Definately don’t let the dress out. It looks like it fits perfectly. If you’re uncomfortable about your hip area Spanx will smooth everything out and make you feel a lot more comfortable.

I didn’t vote anything because I think it fits lovely! HOWEVER, spanx would be the better option it you feel you need something.
