I would go with a 6. Her hands are looking like mine. 5.5 may not fit over the knuckle.

surpriseproposer:  This is super tricky because what you think she is might not be right.  I myself am a petiet person but I wear a size 7.5 ring.  When most people hear that they are shocked, I also know of girls that have more ‘curves’ who have smaller fingers than me.  This is why I say it can be tricky.  Below are pictures of my hands with my ring.

Uhh I highly doubt anyone can accurantely tell you what exact size between a 5 and 6 she is based on those pics.

    Ask her mom.

I wouldn’t want to guess- finger sizes can be so tricky! 6 seems reasonable based on the pictures, but as sparkly pear mentioned you might be surprised. Does she have any rings she wears on that finger? My Fiance got my ring size by taking my right hand ring to a jeweler to check.

surpriseproposer:  Honestly I wouldn’t guess! Does she have any rings that you’ve seen her wear (and therefore know fit)? If so, discreetly take one and bring it to any jewlery store. They can tell you what size it is. There are also sizing charts online you can use. Typically they are pieces of paper with different sized circles on them. You print the paper and can compare that with any one of her rings. These options will definitely get you closer than guessing her size.

Just by the by, I’m 5.0 and weigh between 110 and 115. I wear a size 5 (and even that’s somewhat loose). A 6 would be way too big on me, but she does have a big knuckle in the pictures so who knows. Again – size it against one of her current rings!

    Don’t guess.

Does she have any rings that she wears on her ring finger on either hand? If so, steal it for a few hours and take it to a jeweler and they will be able to tell you what size it is. She will never know! 🙂 Good luck.

She may be a 5.5 or 6?  But there’s really no way to know by a picture.  My boyfriend bought a ring sizer (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008HU9UHO?keywords=ring%20sizer&qid=1444426411&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1) and measured one of my other rings while I was sleeping.  I still had to size down a half a size because the diamond would fall to the side of my finger.  Resizing is not a big deal, and usually a place can do it within hours.

I wouldn’t try to guess if I were you. It’s so tricky! The “normal” size they sell in jewelry stores is a 7. That’s what my guy bought me and it was huge. But resizing it was super simple. Remember: it’s always easier to make it smaller than make it bigger.

As an aside … are you sure this is her dream ring?  Just wondering because I often pin rings on pinterest because I think they are pretty not because I actually want them for myself.  Also, the little comments that appear under the pins, usually I personally just re-pin things and don’t make my own comment so it might say “my dream ring!!!!” but it is just the comment someone else made on the photo and I re-pinned.  This is a very unique ring so just throwing that out there for you to keep in mind.
