I am really not a fan AT ALL of the sashes that go around the chairs but unforunately, at my venue…..all the chairs are covered in white Lycra (like in the picture). What are some options to ‘dress up’ the chairs WITHOUT having a big ol’ sash and bow slapped on??
Ive though of different ways of tying a sash or using a different material other than organza ie satin but….at the end of the day, they all look the same as the look I am trying to avoid.
HELP I NEED SUGGESTIONS!!!! also any photos is you have any please Bees – HELP ME!!

What about pretty hanging ribbons instead? I know the chairs in the pic below has a place to tie them where your chairs do not, but you could achieve the same look by tying one ribbon around the top first & then hanging more ribbons off that one length-wise. Alot of work, but a different look surely.

what look are you trying to go for? Could you use ribbon for a sleek look? Yarn for a rustic look? give us a hint…

I’d do nothing with them or at the most do just a plain band, like this.

Here are a few alternatives to traditional sashes I found online. I’m not sure if they match the look you’re going for though. Either way, hope it helps! 🙂
You could add a sort of ruffled look to them:
If you’re going for vintage or rustic, these could be neat:
An more modern looking sash:
A rosette sash could be pretty/different:

You also have to ask the venue if they have any objections to you using anything to attach things to them. You may only be able to tie things on and not use pins at all (which might limit what you can do).
