- Wedding: March 2013
ok so we are having a bit of a unique wedding. it will be on top of a ski mountain in march, so there will be snow on the ground. our guests are encouraged to bundle up and wear boots and change for the reception (although i will be in my dress and my Fiance will be in a suit). our bridesmaids will be wearing dark jeans, black boots, and matching coats, scarves, adn hats and the grooms men will wear similar attire. we are planning on taking all (or most) of our bridal party photos on top of the mountain after the ceremony.
I would really like to get basically ALL photos done on top of the mountain (1) because it’s beautiful and (2) because if we do it at the base of the mountain we have to take pictures at the top, wait for everyone to get back down, change, touch up make up, etc. and then re-group for more photos. we have 2 hours between the ceremony and reception but still it’s a lot to get done!
the problem is that my Future Mother-In-Law wanted to wear pants and boots to the ceremony and have formal pictures afterwards, after she changes into her dress. I understand this, but as i already mentioned, it will cause lots of logistical problems AND will mean another photo session – and my fiance hates photos!
what should I do? tell her to dress up for the ceremony and suck it up, or have a second photo session at the base of the mountain after everyone has changed into their formal attire?
