I am in love with this dress: can anyone help me find who designed this dress? The shop has it’s own tag in, but it is soooo beautiful and I haven’t seen anything like it in any other shop.
The shop is in Zurich, Switzerland…. and they do not have any designer dress, only their own label, namely MERYS…. and it is more expensive then a Pronovias gown!
By The Way, I was not allowed to take any pictures when I tried the dress on…..
Well, if it is out of budget, then stick with the Pronovias if that’s more affordable.
My doubt is to why there is no designer’s tag on the dress…. where do they order it from???
Some places take out the tags so that you can’t find the same one on a chinese replica dressmaker web site and get it for cheaper.
Ohhhh, I did not know that! This might make sense. It is from one of the most expensive shops in town ( but I am new in the city – Zurich, Switzerland – so have no idea of their real reputation ).
Thank you so much for the advise, it makes me feel better in my choice ( when I tried this dress on I did say ” This is the one!” ).
By The Way, do you like the dress?
It’s very pretty! I think the only thing you can do is print out the picture and take it to other dress shops and see if they recognize it, or you can email the picture to one of the more reputable replica dressmakers and see if they recognize it. Then you can research prices and go from there.
Which of the replica dressmaker would you recommend? Light in the box or JJhouse or?
I’ve only dealt with dressilyme because they received loads of great reviews on here, and they did a very good job. They are also honest. If they think they can’t replicate your dress very well, they will tell you that they can’t make it due to the quality not being good enough. If they do make it for you, they’ll send you pictures before they mail it to you so you can approve of the work or make changes before it gets sent to you. I’ve also heard good things about Jasminebridal or Jasminesbridal. If you search the different dressmakers in the search box at the upper right of the page here, you’ll see lots of threads with reviews on which ones are good and which ones are bad.
I hear light in the box mentioned a lot but I don’t remember if they’re supposed to be good so definitely search and see what people say. I’ve never heard of JJhouse so I don’t know about that one at all, sorry. Good luck!
It looks very similar to this Alfred Angelo dress. I don’t know the # of the dress, but at least it’s a place to start.
