I would leave them and buy some super pretty chargers to go underneath them.  Of course I am not that crafty of a person to trust myself to make them look good.

You could leave them as is and place them atop a paper doily. You can even have them do double duty as your placecards.

I love the doily idea! You could print anything you wanted on one of those!  Or hand-decorate/stamp/etc them!  Oooh the possibilities!!

To build on the sheet music idea, If you and your fiance have a special song, you could buy the sheet music, then cut circles that include the title and decoupage that to the bottom of the plate. Maybe your first dance song?

@little_cricket:  Very pretty. I am a lazy crafter so I would use a plastic doily as a stencil to get that sort of pattern on the underside of the plates.
