Hi there! Well…my wedding was this past Saturday, and it went really well. I was overall really happy with it, but now I am dealing with the aftermath of it. I love my dress, but I am practical about it, and I definitely want to resell it, either via the internet, or to a second-hand store. Which is better? What do I need to do? I probably need to dry clean it, and how much should that cost? How much of the value of the dress should I ask for? My dress cost around $600. What is a good asking price? Let me know if you have any advice!

I would not clean it (usually costs $100-$300) and try to sell it for $300.

I would ask for it what you feel is reasonable. What I mean is, it’s doubtful you’ll get the full price. I have tried listing 4 seperate times a brand new, never worn unaltered size 6 dress and not once had any lick or even a question.
I’m not trying to be discouraging it’s just that a lot of people are selling second hand dresses so you need to be avoe the rest, offer a low price or free shipping of some sort.

The best place to sell your dress is eBay. You will get access to hundreds of potential buyers this way.

Ebay is a great idea, I would DEFINITELY clean it! I wouldnt want a non cleaned dress and then I’d be worried about whether it could get clean! This way you can disclose it honestly. Sooner the better! Someone may be looking for exactly your style
